She is survived by: her children, Virginia Grimes (Neill) of Memphis, TN, Margaret Nelson (Ward) of Lookout Mountain, TN and Walter L. Brown III (Anne) of Raleigh; and her grandchildren, Jane Oliver (Mario), Ben Grimes, Merrill Nelson (Gray), Sam Nelson (Sally), Wes Nelson (Molly), Marion Jester (Mitchell) and Jane Brown. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; and a host of much-loved nieces and nephews.
