She was predeceased by: her parents, Lula Funches Banks and Edgar Banks; and her siblings, Mary Irvin, Lonnie Banks, Elizella Green (Fussy) and Sinclair Banks.
She is survived by: her children, Anthony Banks, David Banks, Pamela Banks-Lee, Gerald McCollum, Patty Garner and Gloria Taylor. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Haywood Funeral Home (2415 S Wilmington St, Raleigh, NC 27603). A burial was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at the Rand Street Christian Church Cemetery (213 Haywood St, Garner, NC 27529).
