He was predeceased by: his parents, James Eugene Byrd, Sr. and Brenda Loray Simmons; his daughter Allyson Byrd Ennis; and his grandson Trenten Lockamon. He is survived by: his wife Mary Bagwell Byrd; his sons, James Arlen Byrd (Sarah) and Zachery Eugene Byrd (Nikki); his sister Lisa Michelle Doby; and his grandchildren, Cody Canter, Katelyn Byrd, Dallas Canter, Kinsley Byrd, Ellynn Byrd and Kinsley Bailey.
