It is with sadness that the passing of Jimmie Dixon Spell (Raleigh, North Carolina) is shared. Jimmie, born on July 7, 1937, passed away on June 8, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Derwood Coleman Spell and Elzora Jackson Spell; and his sister Jackie McLamb. He is survived by: his wife Jennie Spell; his daughters, Marsha Whyte (Harry Whyte) and Kimberly Szarek (Bob Szarek); his grandchildren, Chelsey Whyte Harrington (Brandon Harrington), Coleman Whyte (Libby Whyte), Parker Szarek (Brooke Leithead)) and Weston Szarek; his great grandchild Atlas Whyte; and his brothers, Kenneth Spell (Brownie Spell) and Wayne Spell (Cindy Spell). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hudson Memorial Presbyterian Church or Transitions Palliative and Hospice Care.
