She was predeceased by: her parents, J. O. "Jack" Jackson and Irene Edwards Jackson; and her sister Mary Alice Jackson Smith. She is survived by: her daughters, Amie Breeden (Bobby) and Alice Hoover (Brian); her grandchildren, Trae, Jake, Anna, Jay, Allie, Bella, Brock and Megan; her nephews, Chip, Jeffrey and Garland Smith; and her pet Stella.

“Alice, Amy and others; I am seated just down from Joann’s Weathergreen Drive address, on my deck, having a glass of wine, Joann and I frequently did this together. We talked of flowers, she gave me growing tips; we redecorated and re-arranged our units several times over the years and started projects, not always completing. Joann’s heart was full of hope and goodwill which she shared openly with those giving ear.. I miss her; she was a close, loving friend, neighbor and family to me. ARJ.”
