With profound sadness, we say goodbye to John Edward Frantz (Raleigh, North Carolina), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. As John Edward departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved John Edward. Though John Edward may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John William Frantz and Betty Sadie Bittner Frantz; and his sister Karen F. Griesbach (H. Robert Griesbach). He is survived by: his wife Karene Whaley Frantz; his daughter Anna Frantz Heron (Joseph William); and his grandchildren, Grace, Charles and Lucy. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Our Savior Lutheran Church (1500 Glenwood Ave, Raleigh, NC 27608). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the Evergreen Memorial Cemetery (3888 US-70, Princeton, NC 27569).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Classical Musicians Scholarship at Our Savior Lutheran Church.
