He was predeceased by: his parents, Will Pugh and Maggie Perry Hudgins; and his siblings, Louise H. Kittrell (George), Hattie H. Ashbell (Vernon), Lucy H. Kittrell (John), Minnie Lee H. Campbell (Donald), William Perry Hudgins (Blanche) and William Pugh Hudgins, Jr. (Ray Hoppes).
He is survived by: his spouse Donald Gray Pendergrass; his nephew George P. Kittrell, Jr. (Mary Katherine); and his nieces, Sally Hudgins Fentress and Sandra Hudgins Smith.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Transitions LifeCare, or to the Rams Club at UNC-Chapel Hill.
