He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. John W. Barnard and June Wharton Barnard. He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Russell Barnard; his daughter Jennifer Barnard; his siblings, Calvin, Anne Sloane and Jean Bell; and his sister-in-law Bonnie Rogers. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
