He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Ferrell Carpenter and Frances Upchurch Carpenter; his wife Deborah Carpenter; his sons, Adam Carpenter, Jared Carpenter (Megan) and Zane Carpenter; his granddaughters, Margaux and Maren; and his sister Cindi Johnson (Lee). He was also cherished by friends, and neighbors.
