Joyce Mizelle Hardison Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Mizelle Hardison of Raleigh, North Carolina, who passed away on March 14, 2026, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Henry Mizelle and Effie Mae Wallace Mizelle; her husband Alvin M. Hardison; and her siblings, James Mizell, Juanita Ambrose and Dorothy Stone.

She is survived by: her daughters, Sylvia Oxley (Mark) and Donna Moore (Steve); her grandchildren, Nathan Oxley, Meredith Oxley Sahadak (Zachary), Kelsey Moore Rider (Derek) and Hannah Moore; and her great grandchildren, Harrison Reuel Sahadak, Alvin Thatcher Sahadak and Lainey Joyce Rider.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Jamesville EMS & Rescue are appreciated though flowers are also warmly welcomed.
