She was predeceased by: her parents, Carrie Louise Perkins and Robert Taylor; and her brothers, Ben Perkins, Jr., Larry Shorter and Carl Shorter.
She is survived by: her daughter Janelle Butler; her son-in-law Jason Butler; and her grandchildren, Maxwell and Jordan Butler. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
