She is survived by: her son Johnnie Ray Tyson, III (Geanine) of Wake Forest; her grandchildren, Johnnie of Wake Forest, Jaxson of Wake Forest and Jesse Tyson of Wake Forest; and her siblings, Oakie Thompson of Wilmington, Delaware and Joan Ann Thompson Gerber (Louis).
