With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joyce Winstead Waters of Raleigh, North Carolina, who passed away on October 8, 2025 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Joyce leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Winstead and Nolia W. Davis; her brother Joseph Douglas; and her husband George Maynard Waters. She is survived by: her son Alan G. Waters (Chrissy); and her grandchildren, Abigail Waters and Dylan Waters of Garner, NC..
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM. A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Rocky Mount Memorial Park (4454 Dortches Blvd, Rocky Mount, NC 27804). A committal service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
