She was predeceased by: her parents, Ira Vaden and Lola Stepehnson Holmes; her husband Edwards; and her siblings, Irvin Holmes, Issac Holmes, Hiram Holmes, Preston Holmes (Ray), Callie Barbour, Elosie Thompson, Thelma Thompson and Ruby McLaughlin.
She is survived by: her son Edwards; her grandchildren, Chris Edwards (Kelly) and Ashley Clark (Justin); and her great grandchildren, Juliann and Eden. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bryan-Lee Funeral Home- Garner (1200 Benson Rd, Garner, NC 27529). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Vandora Spring Baptist Church (1521 Vandora Springs Rd, Garner, NC 27529).
