He was predeceased by: his parents, Fidela and Jose; and his brother Emilio. He is survived by: his daughters, Christine Edwards, Cheri Kohan and Whitney Vargas; his sons-in-law, Gary Kohan Jr. and Brian Dobosh; and his brother Jose "Pepe" Teodoro Vargas Pertuza. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Meals on Wheels of Wake County in his memory.
