He is survived by: his wife Avis Armstrong; his son Larry Ervin Armstrong, Jr. of Clayton; and his siblings, Regina Armstrong King, Carolyn Armstrong Alexander (Richard), Teresa Armstrong, John Armstrong (Seidah) and Kenneth Armstrong (Phyllis) of Ahoskie. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
