With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Larry Tinsley of Raleigh, North Carolina, born in Selma, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 3, 2024 at the age of 71. He was predeceased by: his brother Robert L. Tinsley; his parent Sallie Mae Ellis; and his sister Doris Ann Ellis. He is survived by: his wife Lawuthy Tinsley; his children, Dominique Burchfield (Tinsley), Nicky Tinsley and Jarmal Tinsley; his sister Louise Dupree (Rudolph Dupree) of Goldsboro, NC; his aunts, Elsie Tukes and Nellie Jones of Selma, NC; his in-law Annie P. Alexander; his son-in-law John Johnson; and his siblings-in-law, Deborah Ann Johnson, Eliis Alexander and Annie L. Alexander. He is also survived by nephews and nieces, and a host of other relatives and friends.
