He was predeceased by: his parents, Raleigh Vance and Marie Vance (James); his sons, Monte Jay and TJ; his sister Judy Schollmeyer (Vance); his parents-in-law, Norbert and LaVona Borwege; and his siblings-in-law, Ken Lauenstein, Derald Burgess, Larry Sanford, Leonard Kucera, Scott Borwege and Colleen Kucera (Borwege).
He is survived by: his son Cody Lynn of Crete; his wife Bonna Borwege of Inavale; his brother Lon Vance (Linda) of Rochester Hills, Michigan; his daughter-in-law Tara Vance (Faber) of Inavale; his grandchildren, Walker Vance (Hyeji) of South Korea, Wes Vance (Kara Himmelberg) of Red Cloud, Hannah Simpson (Zach) of Red Cloud, Trey Vance and Tanner Vance of Inavale; his great grandchildren, Havi Vance, Sawyer Vance, Josey Vance and Zakai Simpson; and his sisters-in-law, Sharon Burgess of Red Cloud, Diane Overy (Larry) of Pauline and Sonja Borwege of Miltonvale, Kansas. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
