We are sad to announce that on December 2, 2025, at the age of 86, Laurie Edgar Holder Jr. (Raleigh, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Laurie departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Laurie. Though Laurie may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Laurie E. Holder and Alice Beaman Holder; and his grandparents, Harvey Holder and May Bagwell Holder. He is survived by: his sister Nelda Holder of Raleigh; his nephew Christopher Clemmons of Raleigh; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Dale Holder Clemmons and Larkin Meade Clemmons; his aunt Mary Lee Rule (Holder) of Raleigh; Daisy Cooper Clemmons.
A committal service will be held on Saturday, December 27th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Bagwell Cemetery (5898 Rock Quarry Rd, Raleigh, NC 27610).
