Banks Jr. (Diane), Anthony Banks (Linda) and Vanessa Banks; his siblings, Nilous Banks (Barbara), Jerry Banks (Trina), Louretha Cooke (Robert), Elsie Brooks and Angela Dunn (Steve); and his stepchildren, Marcus Cannady, Latoya Cannady, Rita Cannady, Akele Cannady, Jacqueline Cannady and Valerie Cannady. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Salvation Army Community Center (902 Wake Forest Rd, Raleigh, NC 27604). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
