She is survived by: her husband Dawson Emerson Scarborough, Jr.; her son John Emerson Scarborough; her grandsons, Alex Emerson Scarborough and Eli Bennett Scarborough; her sister Janie Leigh Wall Carter; and her sibling's children, Leigh Carter Egeghy, Sarah Carter Stevens and Iverson Brooks Carter.
