With heavy hearts, we announce the death of LuRuth Sutton Arena of Raleigh, North Carolina, who passed away on May 26, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As LuRuth Sutton departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though LuRuth Sutton may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy LuRuth Sutton leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lois Parker Sutton and Paul Leo Sutton; her husband James Edward Arena; and her sister Patricia Kallmeyer. She is survived by: her sons, Jim II and Paul; and her grandchildren, Jillian and Charlie. She is also survived by her sister's children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
