She was predeceased by : her mother Mae Hall-Hicks; her husband James Wallace Hicks; and her siblings, Frances Fletcher, Leora Bell Hall, Lena Bell Hartsfield, Virginia Hall, Beulah Bell Hall, Kellon Hall and Judge Hall.

She is survived by : her daughter Lonette Hicks; her son-in-law Larry White; her grandchildren, Brittanny Tanner and Nicholas Harris; her great grandchild Zadayah Goins; her nephew Bernard Hall; and her niece Cecelia Kellene Hall.

A burial was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Raleigh National Cemetery (501 Rock Quarry Rd, Raleigh, NC 27610).
