She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Elmore and Maggie Bell Elmore; her former husband Elias Lee Joyner of Greene County, NC; and her daughter-in-law Brenda Joyner. She is survived by: her husband Michael L. Stephens; her sons, Michael Lee Joyner, Gregory Allen Joyner (Debbie Wright) and Christopher Neal Joyner (Christy); her grandsons, Matthew Henry Joyner, Andrew Neal Joyner (Elaina) and Christopher Bradley Joyner (Sarahi); and her great grandchild Elias James Joyner. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Beacon Baptist Church Building Fund.
