She was predeceased by: her parents, Orien Aurelius DeMoss and June Lee DeMoss; her husband Gerald Wayne Cody; her siblings, Gloria Jean DeMoss Jones, Michael DeMoss and Carolyn DeMoss; and her daughter Jeanna Carol Cody.
She is survived by: her children, Tim Cody of Merritt Island, FL and Jennifer Cody Scott (Brian) of Raleigh, NC; her grandchildren, Caroline Cody, Elizabeth Cody of Raleigh, NC, Daniel Cody of Pinehurst, NC, Rachel Scott and Brant Scott of Raleigh, NC; her brothers-in-law, Larry Cody (Debbie) of Chester, VA and Jim Cody (Nancy) of Jackson, TN; and her niece Marni Jones Rice. She is also survived by other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
