She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert William Davisson and Gayle Chapman Davisson; her husband Dean Richard Kenny, Sr.; her siblings, Gwenivere Davisson Robison, Robert Davisson and William Davisson; and her daughter Dr. Sheryl Sue Russell.
She is survived by: her children, Dr. Dean Richard Kenny, Jr. (Sheryl), Marsha Kenny and JoEllen Boggess (Jeff); and her grandchildren, Chuck Brown (Catherine), Erica Kimrey (Erik), Courtney Pollard (Preston), Girma Russell, Sean Whittaker (Katerina), Deanna Whittaker, Richard Kenny (Lindsey), Bryce Kenny (McKenzie), Dr. Rhett Kenny (Lindsay), Chase Kenny and Alyssa McDuffie. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Imago Dei Church (9200 Strickland Rd, Raleigh, NC 27615). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
