She was predeceased by: her father George Marion; her husband Bobby Gene Neal; and her sisters, Mary Lou Harwell, Jean Stewart and Bette Hurlocker.

She is survived by: her daughters, Wendy Neal Galyean (Mickey) of Raleigh and Bobbie "Gena" Neal of Apex; and her grandchildren, Marsha Diggs (Dan), Michael Galyean (Shelby) and Christopher Bobby Neal. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren and three great, great-grandchildren.
