It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary B. Cheek (Raleigh, North Carolina), who passed away on November 27, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Isaac Harrison and Gatha Harrison; and her siblings, Pearl Palmer, Lena Nunnery, Isaac Harrison, John Harrison and George Harrison.
She is survived by: her husband Reverend Joseph Cheek; her daughters, Shirley Leslie (Anthony) of Raleigh, NC, Betty Thomas (Dale) of Raleigh, NC, Laverne Kelly (Larry) of Raleigh, NC and Patricia Harrington (Colin) of Raleigh, NC; her sisters, Minnie Gillison of Florence, NJ, Rosa Walker (Jerome) of Hackensack, NJ and Florence Keller (Leonard) of Raleigh, NC; and her brother-in-law Carl Cheek of Raleigh, NC. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends.
