She was predeceased by: her parents, Emerson Penn "Sandy" Dameron and Nancy Dameron; her husband Haywood Holderness Jr.; and her sister Anna "Nan" Dameron. She is survived by: her sons, Dail Holderness (Laurie) and Penn Holderness (Kim); her siblings, Penn Dameron and Elizabeth "Betsy" Poindexter; and her grandchildren, Lola, Ella, Penn Charles and Cade. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
