She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Levi Burris and Willie Roberta Sartin Burris. She is survived by: her husband Clarence Gerald "Jerry" Helderman; her siblings, Ronnie Burris and Judy Burris D'Orto; her children, Lysbeth (Jim), Ron and Dina; and her grandchildren, Trey (Gabrielle), Nathan, Sarah, Greyson, Benjamin and Luke.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Trinity Baptist Church (4815 Six Forks Rd, Raleigh, NC 27609). A funeral service was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Transitions Life Care, the Raleigh Baptist Association, and Trinity Baptist Church.
