Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Mary Jo Shaw Harrison of Raleigh, North Carolina, born in Benson, North Carolina, who passed away at the age of 93, on April 5, 2024. She was predeceased by : her parents, Joseph Paul Shaw and Mary Franks Penny of Raleigh. She is survived by : her husband Tom; her children, Dan Harrison (Shannon), Susan Pardue (Darrell), Joe Harrison, Bob Harrison (Lori) and Penny Purcell (Dan); her grandchildren, William Pardue (Julie), Elizabeth Gill (Alec), Harrison Pardue (Mollie), Marshall Harrison, Bonnie Alexander (Dave), Katie Harrison (Kyle Knight), Matthew Purcell (Quincey) and Caitlin Martell (Kevin); and her great grandchildren, Trevor, Charlotte, Jake, Wells, Walker Gill, Adam Pardue, Billie Alexander, Stu Knight, Reese Purcell and Ellery Martell.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Groce Funeral Home - Patton Ave. (1401 Patton Ave, Asheville, NC 28806). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
