It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mattie Jewel Elliott of Raleigh, North Carolina, who passed away on January 23, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her husband Hubert Elliott; her sons, Lushea Elliott (Adalia) of Raleigh and Hubolist Elliott of Raleigh; her grandchildren, Kenya E. Robinson of Fayetteville, Nicole Elliott of Raleigh and Hugh Elliott of Charlotte; her great grandchild Kamani Robinson; and her sisters, Alice Pitts of Wendell and Emma Williams of Enfield. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
