He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Milton Stephenson and Mary Ferrell Stephenson; his wife Ellen Johnson Stephenson; his son David "Mike" Stephenson; and his siblings, Josephine Taylor, Polly Cantrell, Frances S. Kerr and Dalton O. Stephenson.
He is survived by: his sons, Tommy Stephenson (Angela) of Willow Spring and Jimmy Stephenson (Frankie) of Willow Spring; his grandchildren, Lori Dale Fonseca (Rob), April Nicole Page (Levi), Thomas Dalton "Tommy" Stephenson, Jr. (Lauren) and Heather Dean Hargrave (Seth); his great grandchildren, Gabriel Fonseca (Abagail), Jonah Page, Madalyn Page, Nathan Hargrave, Madison Hargrave and William Hargrave; and his great great grandchild Shilo.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Hollands Church (9433 Ten-Ten Rd, Raleigh, NC 27603). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 15th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in M.L.'s memory to Holland's Church, 9433 Ten-Ten Road, Raleigh, NC 27603.
