With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Michael Edward Stump of Raleigh, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 8, 2025 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Albert Stump and Frances Arlene Robertson; and his siblings, Rosa Lee McKinney, Tammy Jo Hughes, Mary Ann Stump Dutcher and Roy Darrell Payne.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Duncan Stump; his children, Kristie Lynn Newton and Kevin Allen Stump (Patty); his siblings, Allen (AL), Bob Stump (Kay), Danny Wayne Payne, Vicki Ostean, Angela Dilley, Pam Treadway (Dave) and Kitty Shearer; his grandchildren, Matt Newton (Madison), Logan Stump, Laney Stump, Lincoln Stump, Lawson Stump, Allie Stump and Melaina Stump; his brother-in-law Ronnie McKinney; his uncle Charles Robertson (Portia); and his aunt Charlotte Smith. He is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that any monetary donations received go towards final expenses.
