He is survived by: his wife Ginger Moore Harrell; his sons, Paul James and Luke Michael; his parents, Dennis Lee Harrell (Glenda) and Sylvia Harrell; his brothers, Jason Harrell and Brian Harrell (Tanya); and his nieces and nephews, Rachel, Carlee, Blake, Brooke Harrell, Camrey Vest Morrison and Camden Vest.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like for any donations to be made to a Memorial Scholarship Fund in Michael's honor for his children.
