She was predeceased by: her parents, Ella Mae and Robert Moody; her husband Delbert Carroll; her son Kenneth Carroll; and her siblings, Irene, Estelle, Velma, Verner, John David, Charlotte, Paul and Robert Timothy.
She is survived by: her daughter Linda Powell (Dan Powell); her grandchildren, Christi Cabrera (Joel), Eric Powell (Kate), Nicole Sullivan (Daniel) and Carlee Turner (Simon); and her great grandchildren, Noah, Amelina, Naia, Isla Cabrera, Will, Gray, Emerson Powell, Naomi Sullivan and Pio Turner.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 4th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Brooks Avenue Church of Christ (700 Brooks Ave, Raleigh, NC 27607). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 4th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Monday, December 8th 2025.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in honor of Mildred can be made to Agape of North Carolina, for children in crises and needing a family to love and provide for them.
