With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mildred Shannon of Raleigh, North Carolina, who passed away on April 15, 2023. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Lee and Edith Cartrette; and her siblings, James Allen (Myrtle), Hilda Strickland (Dewey), Arthur Lee Jr. and Mona Durham (Tommy).
She is survived by: her sister Barbra Kinney (Jim); her son Tim King (Cecelia); and her grandchildren, Rufus and Sutton King. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Duke School of Medicine.
