It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nancy Evans McLaughlin Stevens (Raleigh, North Carolina), who passed away on December 7, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Nancy leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin McLaughlin and Florence Evans McLaughlin; her son Matthew E. Stevens; and her sister Audrey Rhoades. She is survived by: her daughter Molly Stevens Williams; her son-in-law Chris of Garner; her grandson C. Garrett Williams (Whitney) of Durham; her brother-in-law Bill Rhoades of Florida; and her sister Sally Trukenbbrod of Vermont. She is also survived by several nieces; a nephew.
