It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Patricia Layne Stockstill (Raleigh, North Carolina), who passed away on December 6, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Julia Ethel Smith and Tyson Pharoah Pate; and her husband George McLean Stockstill. She is survived by: her daughter Beth; her granddaughter Julia Brinton (Matthew); her great grandchildren, Hunter, Lincoln and June; her grandson Mitchell Feldman; and her daughter Barbara Weller (Bob). She is also survived by numerous cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Brown-Wynne Funeral Home (1701 E Millbrook Rd, Raleigh, NC 27609). A committal service will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Oakwood Cemetery (701 Oakwood Ave, Raleigh, NC 27601).
