He was predeceased by: his parents, Toivo Savolainen and Martha Savolainen (Jutila); his son Luke Savolainen; and his brother Tom Belmore. He is survived by: his wife Geraldine "Geri" Savolainen; his children, Ronald "Ron" Savolainen (Connie), Toby Savolainen and Paula Wiese (Bob); and his brother David Savolainen (Joyce). He is also survived by nine grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
