It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Peggy Hilliard Holland (Raleigh, North Carolina), who passed away on October 8, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Garland Hilliard and Violet Burchette Hilliard; her husband James Frederick Holland; her daughter Sue Diane Holland; her sisters, Rosa Lee Flythe and Emily H. Dillard; and her son-in-law Mark Douglas.
She is survived by: her daughters, Deborah J. Douglas and Brenda H. Williams (David); her grandchildren, Scott Douglas, Daniel Douglas (Michelle), Dexter Douglas (Ashley), Megan Sallinger (Daniel) and Brittney Cooke (Aaron); and her brothers, Johnny Hilliard (Debbie) and Stanley Hilliard (Kay). She is also survived by eleven great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the L. Harold Poole Funeral Service & Crematory (944 Old Knight Rd, Knightdale, NC 27545). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Montlawn Memorial Park (2911 S Wilmington St, Raleigh, NC 27603).
