He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Garoutte and Ruby Garoutte (Vahl); and his brother Jim. He is survived by: his wife Linda; his sons, Randy (Michelle) of Amana, IA and Brian of Apex, NC; and his grandsons, Cody, Jacob and Nicholas.
A funeral service was held on Sunday, April 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Life Lutheran Church (2100 Buffaloe Rd, Garner, NC 27529).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in his memory to the American Legion in Van Horne, IA, or Heartland Hospice in Raleigh, NC.
