We are sad to announce that on August 16, 2025, at the age of 82, Philip Scott Lawrence (Raleigh, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip Lawrence and Florence Lawrence (Betty). He is survived by: his children, Peter Lawrence (Mary), Robyn Smith (Matt), Philip Lawrence (Lynn) and Hayden Lawrence; his siblings, Bob Lawrence (Tana), Bill Lawrence (Susan) and Pat Hunt (Don); and his grandchildren, Jillian Bergamasco, Riley Bergamasco, Andrew Lawrence and Nicholas Lawrence.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in his honor to the American Chestnut Foundation, an organization to which he contributed and which brought him great joy and satisfaction throughout his life.
