He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Peters and Wilhelmina Peters. He is survived by: his wife Joyce; his sons, Ralph W. "Jay" Peters III (Courtney) and William Brian Peters (Jennifer); his siblings, Larry Peters and Jane Davison (Laird); his grandchildren, Dylan, Cameron and Olivia; and his caregivers, Linda, Jackie, Margaret and Wendy. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the North Raleigh United Methodist (8501 Honeycutt Rd, Raleigh, NC 27615). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the North Raleigh United Methodist Church (8501 Honeycutt Rd, Raleigh, NC 27615). A committal service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Brier Creek Memorial Gardens (7600 ACC Blvd, Raleigh, NC 27617).
