He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Taylor and Clyde Taylor; his siblings, Howard, Joe, Virginia, Johnny and Pauline; his wife Virginia Jo; and his daughter Linda.
He is survived by: his children, Mara, Lisa (Allen) and Rich; his grandchildren, Alison, Philip, Jacob, Trey and Ryan; and his great grandchildren, Topher, Ginny, Bryson and Korra. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Brown-Wynne Funeral Home (1701 E Millbrook Rd, Raleigh, NC 27609). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
