With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rita Helen Bowden in Raleigh, North Carolina, who passed away on December 14, 2024 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Bowden and Juanita Bowden; and her siblings, Alice Sternloff, Carol Anne Murchison, Bernadette O'Neale, James and Charles Bowden.
She is survived by: her sons, Joe Mims, Jr., Jim Mims (Camille), Jeff Mims (Loucretia) and John Mims; her grandchildren, Allison, Andrea, Nick, Tom, Ashley, Halli, Tristan and Mason; and her great grandchildren, Hayes and James.
