He was predeceased by: his parents, Seth Andrew Norris and Mary Honeycutt Norris; and his brothers, Joseph Norris (Maggie), Victor Norris (Lillie Mae), Vernon Norris (Betty), Gardner Norris (Hilda) and Landis Norris (Joyce).
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Hicks Norris of Smithfield; his sons, Robert Lee Norris, Jr. (Angela) and Gary Wayne Norris (Linda); his grandchildren, Robyn Wilson (Bryan), Adam Norris (Britt), Garrett Norris (Dennielle), Ashley Karen Grady, Trey Grady (Leah), Helen Rattie (Chris) and Diane Louten (Robert); and his great grandchildren, Seth McLeod, Sydney McLeod, Lydia Norris, Halle Norris, Avaleigh Norris, Lovey-Jean Norris and Amelia Storm.
