He is survived by: his daughters, Allison Ficken (David), Leigh Baker and Barrie Shavlik (Dean); his grandchildren, Ally Baker Doak (John), Lenox Baker Meythaler (Bradford), Matthew Ficken (Leah), George Ficken (Addy), Jane Barrett Shavlik Patterson (Patrick) and Becca Shavlik Gauss (Jack); and his siblings, Willam Jack Hines, Jr. and Betty Hines Huffman (Don). He is also survived by his 8 great-grandchildren.
