He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse T. Thomas and F. Marie Thomas; and his sister Inez Cooper. He is survived by: his wife Rose T. Thomas; his sons, Roger L. Thomas, Jr. (Karen) and Rodney L. Thomas (Sally Anne); his granddaughters, Meredith Thomas Doble (Wes), Rachael Thomas, Gwyneth Thomas, Maryanne Thomas and Samantha Thomas; his great grandchildren, Kayleigh Doble of Raleigh and Elowen Doble of Raleigh; and his sisters, Earline Dance of Birmingham, AL. and Ruby Easter of Burlington, N. C.. He is also survived by two sons and their wives, five granddaughters, two great granddaughters, and grand-son-in-law.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Forbis and Dick Guilford Chapel. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the New Garden Cemetery.
