She is survived by: her children, Lisa Hinton Donkor of Ruffin, George Eric Hinton of Greensboro and Gregory Scott Hinton (Kara) of Trinity; her sister Juanita Hankins (Harry) of Yanceyville; and her grandson Israel Hinton.
